My history
"How to reach a goal? Slow and steady wins the race".
About me
In the first years of the 20th century, my great-grandfather, who was originally from Valle Belbo, moved to La Morra and bought his first parcels of land.
On the 5th of July 1935, my father Giacomo Saglietti was born.
It was my father who established the present estate, still called Bricco del Dente today, in the township of La Morra. For La Morra natives like me, this is the true heart of Barolo winemaking.

My grandfather Giacomo's enterprise also employed my mother, Brigida Settime (1938) and had a completely different activity from today's. It centred on raising the Piedmontese breed of cattle. This breed is especially valuable for both its milk and meat, as well as for being a working farm animal.

The estate possessed two hectares of vineyards, hazelnut groves, orchards and a vegetable garden to supply the family with fresh vegetables.
Year 1967
I was born in 1967...

After graduating as an oenologist, I joined my father Giacomo and entered the family business in 1995

In 1989, my father succeeded in fulfilling one of his greatest ambitions--to purchase a parcel in the highly-desirable Brunate cru, which today, is one of the most important geographic references of the Barolo appellation.

In 1996, the estate began bottling its own wine, with labels bearing my father's name--GIACOMO SAGLIETTI.
